You have been temporarily blocked from editing Wikipedia as a result of your disruptive edits. You are free to make constructive edits after the block has expired, but please note that vandalism (including page blanking or addition of random text), spam, deliberate misinformation, privacy violations, personal attacks; and repeated, blatant violations of our neutral point of view policy will not be tolerated. - Mike Rosoft 15:36, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

AS A PROMINENT PROFESSOR OF BOTANY AT THE UNIVERSITY OF OKLAHOMA, I RESENT THIS BAN; MOREOVER, I SEE IT AS A VIOLATION OF MY RIGHT - A RIGHT GUARANTEED BY THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA - TO EDIT WIKIPEDIA HOWEVER I WISH.

  • Professor or not, you don't have a legal right to edit Wikipedia, just like you can't force a newspaper or a journal to publish your essay. Wikipedia has its policies and guidelines; people who disrupt it by vandalism or other violations may be temporarily or permanently blocked. It's that simple. - Mike Rosoft 16:35, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] If you're a professor, or as you put it, a 'PROFESSOR', I certainly hope you're either A) drunk, or B) suffering the aftereffects of a blow to the head.

Otherwise, I weep for the American Education system. HalfShadow 20:16, 21 July 2007 (UTC)

AS A PROMINENT PROFESSOR OF BOTANY AT THE UNIVERSITY OF OKLAHOMA, I RESENT THIS INSULT; IN ADDITION, I SEE IT AS A VIOLATION OF MY RIGHT - AS GUARANTEED BY THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA - NOT TO BE INSULTED. 128.186.159.219

Please don't write in all capitals, it's considered rude. As has already been explained to you above, you have no constitutional right to edit Wikipedia. Vandlaism will result in ever-lengthening blocks, as per our policies. If you don't like it, don't vandalise. --John 20:21, 21 July 2007 (UTC)

AS A PROMINENT PROFESSOR OF BOTANY AT THE UNIVERSITY OF OKLAHOMA, I POSSESS SEVERAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING THE RIGHT TO WRITE IN ALL CAPITAL LETTERS. IN ADDITION, I FIND YOUR USE OF "CAPITALS," RATHER THAN "CAPITAL LETTERS," ANNOYING, AND REPRESENTATIVE OF THE SLOPPY TREND IN ENGLISH TOWARD CHANGING ADJECTIVES TO NOUNS. 128.186.159.219

Just a note, your Constitutional rights aren't applicable to Wikipedia, including free speech. --Android Mouse 20:26, 21 July 2007 (UTC)

AS A PROMINENT PROFESSOR OF BOTANY AT THE UNIVERSITY OF OKLAHOMA, I AM AWARE THAT MY CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS DON'T APPLY TO WIKIPEDIA. I AM, HOWEVER, ALSO AWARE OF MY RIGHT TO CLAIM WHATEVER I WISH. 128.186.159.219

Now you're having a laugh. If you decide you wish to edit again after your block expires, please don't vandalise, or you will be blocked again. --John 20:30, 21 July 2007 (UTC)
