School IP address Attention:

This IP address, 128.135.163.167, is registered to University of Chicago and may be shared by multiple users of an educational institution. In the case of institutions using proxy servers, this IP address may in fact represent many users at many physical computers.

For this reason a message intended for one person may be received by another. Similarly an innocent user may get blocked for another user's vandalism. If you are editing from this address and are frustrated by irrelevant messages, you can avoid them by creating an account for yourself. In some cases you may temporarily be unable to create an account due to efforts to fight vandalism, in which case please read our advice on this situation.

Caution should be used when blocking this IP or reverting its contributions without checking - if a block is needed, administrators should consider a soft block with the template {{schoolblock|optional comment}} as the block reason.

Note: In the event of persistent vandalism from primary and secondary schools, anonymous editing may be disabled for up to 1 year at a time. Abuse reports may also be forwarded to your school administration for investigation in case of long-term abuse by registered users.
School staff who want to monitor vandalism from this IP address can subscribe to a web feed of this page in either RSS or Atom format.

Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content, as you did to Talk:Rex Grossman. Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalised, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. --SonicChao talk 21:27, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] July 2007

Please do not add content without citing reliable sources, as you did to Nery Castillo. Before making potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Adding supposed/proposed player signing with this or other club in the future is not helpful and not acceptable information in WP. Please stay close to the facts. When the player actually signs a contract and this fact is reported by reputable media, please come back to the article and post a reference by all means. We need good article material, not speculation. Alexf(t/c) 00:02, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] August 2007

Please do not delete content from pages on Wikipedia. Your edits do not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use Wikipedia:Sandbox for test edits. Thank you. Removing warnings from Talk pages is considered vandalism and should not be done. -- Alexf(t/c) 14:13, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did to Andrés Guardado. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. A link to the edit I have reverted can be found here: link. If you believe this edit should not have been reverted, please contact me. Also note that writing personal comments and all in uppercase is considered vandalism on an encyclopedia article. If you have comments to make, please post them on the article's Talk Page using proper case. Alexf(t/c) 15:32, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

Please do not attack other editors. If you continue, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Personal insults, foul language, and user page blanking are considered vandalism and have no place in Wikipedia. Please discuss whatever issues or questions you may have, in the article or user's Talk page, whichever the case may be. -- Alexf(t/c) 14:12, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to User:Alexf, you will be blocked from editing. A link to the edit I have reverted can be found here: link. If you believe this edit should not have been reverted, please contact me. Alexf(t/c) 18:12, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Blocked

If you block me again, or undo my clearing again, I will have to take legal action against Daniel Case, wikipedia, and whoever else may be involved.

Your recent edits could give other users the impression that you may consider legal or other 'off-wiki' action against them. Please note that this is strictly prohibited under Wikipedia's policies on legal threats and civility. Users who make such threats are often blocked indefinitely until their legal case is withdrawn or resolved. Please try to keep a cool head and work positively with other editors. Thanks. Daniel Case 17:54, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

Please do not remove content from your talk page; other users will utilize this page as a way of seeing past discussion, and removing things can be seen as disruptive if you appear to be trying to hide something. You may wish to consider archiving old discussions; take a look at the move page if you would like to learn more about moving and renaming articles. Daniel Case 17:54, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

And as a personal note, I am going to get on the phone to the University of Chicago's network-abuse reporting person, show them how you've been using the account they (presumably) let you have, and let them decide whether you should continue to have it. Daniel Case 17:54, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

I don't know why you would block me. I've never done anything. This computer is used in a cafe shop. You shouldn't block open addresses as it is unfair to other people who are using this computer correctly. You should change your policies.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.135.163.167 (talkcontribs)

What's this cafe shop called? Daniel Case 04:21, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

If you believe that the shared IP block is unfair, you should create an account so even though the shared IP is blocked, your account won't be affected. NHRHS2010 Talk 20:40, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
