[edit] Your recent edits
Hi, there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot 17:44, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Vandal Watch
Regarding your post on my talk page. First up - although I frequently report things on the vandalism page, I am not actually an administrator. Admin powers would be nice, but at the moment, I'm just happy to undo people's vandalism.
Regarding the reporting of vandals on that page, there is actually a strict process that needs to be followed. First off, the vandals need to have been warned before hand. Without these warnings (except in really exceptional cases), the user will not be blocked. This can be frustrating, especially if you are busy following behind them clearing up their mess, but rules are rules. To help with posting warnings on someone's talk page, there are a lot of templates that exist to help. If you haven't found them already, they can be located here: Wikipedia:Template messages/User talk namespace/Multi-level templates. Remember - always assume good faith, and start at the appropriate #1 level, and work up to the final warning. If someone has alread posted (let's say) a level 3 vandalism warning, and you need to follow on afterwards, you can either stay at level three or up it to level 4.
Remember: Always assume good faith!
As for the vandals you reported to me - your best bet (as it is a few days since one of them has posted - the other one appears to be active today, but I have no idea if what they are posting is vandalism or not), is to post a warning regarding just one of their edits that you are certain is vandalism.
However, as warnings may not have been posted on their recent spree, make sure that you start at level one. If needs be, start a heading for December 2007, and post your warning in that. If they do get active again with vandalism, with sufficient warnings they will end up blocked.
Sorry I can't be of any more help. StephenBuxton 19:39, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] The Grey Hounded Hare
Hello, I would like to thank you for your contributions to the "Plot" section of my article. I can see from your history that you have edited the cartoons that came before and after it as well.
I was wondering if you could find a reference to availability or possible censorship surrounding this cartoon. Oh, don't worry about a picture, though. I've got that taken care of. Cousin Yugi (talk) 22:40, 4 December 2007 (UTC)
because I don't have any idea about it, I can't give any help, sorry.123.193.12.44 (talk) 09:42, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] User:172.133.24.150
Thanks for posting to WP:AIV. If you see any articles being continually vandalized, please don't hesitate to request page protection at WP:RPP. ˉˉanetode╦╩ 12:16, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
- The vandal's blocked for the time being, I'll lock the articles down if he keeps coming back with different IPs. ˉˉanetode╦╩ 12:42, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Civility
This comment is uncivil and totally unwarranted - not to mention a really really bad way to try and get admins to comply with your request. I strongly suggest retracting it and apologizing for it. Dreadstar † 18:16, 26 December 2007 (UTC)

- In the editor's defense, I just improperly placed a level 3 vandalism warning here, in fact the editor is trying to eliminate the vandalism. It looks like a bot is also improperly reverting him. I'm quite sure its a frustrating situation, for which I have apologzied. Xymmax (talk) 18:23, 26 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Bad vandalism warning
Let me apologize for placing the vandal warning on your user page. I see now that the vandalism done on the Imagination page goes way back, and that you trying to correct it. I would have removed the tag, but I see you (properly) all ready did so. Again, sorry for the bad tag. Xymmax (talk) 18:14, 26 December 2007 (UTC)
- It's OK. I won't be angry. Don't worry about this . I also apologizing for making a mistake in erasing this before123.193.12.44 (talk) 18:36, 26 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Tom and Jerry
I put these categories on "Category:Tom and Jerry cartoons", you idot123.193.12.44 (talk) 04:21, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
- I understand what you mean about the categories. So why delete the links to imdb? I agree about the personal attacks, by the way, you should avoid them. Darkspots (talk) 04:35, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
- you can see the links to imdb at the cartoon information template at the right of these articles123.193.12.44 (talk) 04:41, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
- I see what you mean, but not everyone looks at the infobox--I think keeping the imdb link at the bottom of the article's a good idea.
- I think you should discuss this with Majorly on his talk page. You're making good points but calling him an idiot is uncivil. For what that's worth. Darkspots (talk) 04:46, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
- He put a vandalism warning before talking to me, it's he that is uncivil before me.123.193.12.44 (talk) 04:51, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
About your reporting of Majorly to WP:AIV, edit warring is not vandalism. I suggest that you take Majorly up on his offer to discuss the issue. Please remember to remain civil, assume good faith, and to discuss the issue instead of just reverting, especially since your edits did not contain any edit summary about why you think the categories should be removed. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 04:57, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia. It would be appreciated if you would not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you.
You cannot unlist anything for deletion. It does not work that way. By the way, it's misuse because (#1) that template shouldn't even exist and (#2) the proper Infobox film template is for individual films --FuriousFreddy (talk) 05:02, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Film infoboxes
Hey, I noticed you were adding fields to infoboxes such as "Genre", "Animated by", "Voiced by", and "Numbers". Unfortunately the infobox template you were adding these to has been nominated for deletion and will very likely be deleted. You can see the deletion discussion here. For the time being the articles that you have added this template to have had their infoboxes temporarily switched over to the same template only located at User:Jecowa/Template:Infobox Film2. Feel free to edit this page. Anyway, this solution will not work in the long run. It might be best to try to get any of these new fields added to the main film infobox template for continued use. There is currently a discussion to get a "Voiced by" field added to the main template. You can add your thoughts to the discussion on why the voiced by field is needed. On this same page, you can request that a "numbers" field be added, but I doubt that other editors would see it as relevant information. It looks like none of the pages you have added this template to are using the "Animated by" or "Genre" fields. I suspect that a list of every animator that contributed to a film would be too long to list in an infobox. There have been at least two other attempts to get a "genre" field added to the Template:Infobox Film, both failed. You can see them here and here. Even though it has failed twice before, there is no reason that people could accept it on a third try. Sorry to bring the bad news. Thank you for all your contributions to Wikipedia. Let me know if I can help you with anything. Jecowa (talk) 01:56, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
