[edit] Welcome
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- Tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
Here are some other hints and tips:
- I would recommend that you get a username. You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires no personal information, and there are many benefits of having a username. (If you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead.)
- When using talk pages, please sign your name at the end of your messages by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically produce your username (or IP address) and the date.
If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my Talk page, or type {{helpme}} on this talk page and a user will help you as soon as possible. I will answer your questions as far as I can. Again, welcome!
Thank you again for contributing to Wikipedia. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian. Treebark (talk) 00:28, 20 July 2006 (UTC)

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did in Ameriprise Financial. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Please do not add unhelpful and unconstructive content to Wikipedia, as you did to Quixtar. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. If you think anything on that article is purely personal opinion, please point it out on talk page. Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia! I noticed that you recently added commentary to an article, Quixtar. While Wikipedia welcomes editors' opinions on an article and how it could be changed, these comments are more appropriate for the article's accompanying talk page. If you post your comments there, other editors working on the same article will notice and respond to them and your comments will not disrupt the flow of the article. Thank you. This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to Quixtar, you will be blocked from editing. Knverma 22:52, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Quixtar. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content which gains a consensus among editors. Knverma 22:55, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
- Please self-revert your edit on Quixtar as you have broken the three-revert rule. Thanks. --Knverma 10:36, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

- Additionally, please stop issuing false vandalism warnings. Not only is this disruptive, but it can also be construed as personal attacks, and can result in a longer block for you. (ESkog)(Talk) 18:32, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

Its not false warnings !!! Why are you disrupting the arcticle?

This is the discussion page for an anonymous user, identified by the user's numerical IP address. Some IP addresses change periodically, and may be shared by several users. If you are an anonymous user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other anonymous users. Registering also hides your IP address.
