[edit] Welcome

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Here are some other hints and tips:

  • I would recommend that you get a username. You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires no personal information, and there are many benefits of having a username. (If you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead.)
  • When using talk pages, please sign your name at the end of your messages by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically produce your username (or IP address) and the date.

If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my Talk page, or type {{helpme}} on this talk page and a user will help you as soon as possible. I will answer your questions as far as I can. Again, welcome!

Thank you again for contributing to Wikipedia. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian. Treebark (talk) 00:28, 20 July 2006 (UTC)

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Treebark (talk) 00:28, 20 July 2006 (UTC)

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did in Ameriprise Financial. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. A link to the edit I have reverted can be found here: link. If you believe this edit should not have been reverted, please contact me. Quintote 14:23, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Some of your recent edits, such as those you made to Ameriprise Financial, have been considered unhelpful or unconstructive and have been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. A link to the edit I have reverted can be found here: link. If you believe this edit should not have been reverted, please contact me. Quintote 14:26, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

Please do not add unhelpful and unconstructive content to Wikipedia, as you did to Boredom. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. A link to the edit I have reverted can be found here: link. If you believe this edit should not have been reverted, please contact me. ~~ AVTN T CVPS 17:02, 26 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] June 2007

Please do not add unhelpful and unconstructive content to Wikipedia, as you did to Quixtar. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. If you think anything on that article is purely personal opinion, please point it out on talk page. Knverma 22:27, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia! I noticed that you recently added commentary to an article, Quixtar. While Wikipedia welcomes editors' opinions on an article and how it could be changed, these comments are more appropriate for the article's accompanying talk page. If you post your comments there, other editors working on the same article will notice and respond to them and your comments will not disrupt the flow of the article. Thank you. This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to Quixtar, you will be blocked from editing. Knverma 22:52, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Quixtar. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content which gains a consensus among editors. Knverma 22:55, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

Please self-revert your edit on Quixtar as you have broken the three-revert rule. Thanks. --Knverma 10:36, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
I posted the matter here: [1]. --Knverma 19:29, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
You have been blocked from editing for a short time in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for violating the three-revert rule . Please be more careful to discuss controversial changes or seek dispute resolution rather than engaging in an edit war. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below.

Please stop. If you continue spamming Wikipedia, you will be blocked from editing. (ESkog)(Talk) 18:29, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

Additionally, please stop issuing false vandalism warnings. Not only is this disruptive, but it can also be construed as personal attacks, and can result in a longer block for you. (ESkog)(Talk) 18:32, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

This is your last warning. The next time you insert a spam link, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted from Wikipedia. (ESkog)(Talk) 18:33, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

Its not false warnings !!! Why are you disrupting the arcticle?

You have been temporarily blocked from editing Wikipedia for continuing to add spam links. If you wish to make useful contributions, you are welcome to come back after the block expires. Persistent spammers will have their websites blacklisted from Wikipedia. (ESkog)(Talk) 18:37, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

This blocked user (block log | autoblocks | rangeblocks | unblock | contribs | deleted contribs) has asked to be unblocked, but an administrator has reviewed and declined this request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock request while you are blocked.

Request reason: "Why should I be blocked if I try to undo the changes of vandalism. Please refer to the corrections made by me. Is it spamming? And why is no action taken on people who are disrupting the page contents?"

Decline reason: "Clear violation of WP:3RR if nothing else. — Yamla 20:12, 14 June 2007 (UTC)"

Please make any further unblock requests by using the {{unblock}} template. However, abuse of the template may result in your talk page being protected.

Request reason: "Thank you. I understand 3RR rule now but I am sure you will agree it is not spamming. But why is the person who vandalised 3 times ( which I reverted) not blocked? Also if you want to keep me blocked, can you please review the article and undo the damage?"

If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia after the block has expired, you will be blocked for longer and longer periods of time.  Kukini háblame aquí 14:01, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
