I'll take you on your word that your edits are in good faith.
But I should point out that if you are genuine then (i) you should sign you comments on my Talk page with your name, (ii) you should create an account and give yourself a name, and most importantly (iii) yes, USA vs rest-of-the-universe English spelling is a sensitive subject so it is always better to originate spelling conventions with new material added to articles rather than go around and change an article's pre-existing spelling. I know that this is a "chicken and egg" argument and ends up going around in circles but my tendency is to always revert edits that just focus on the spelling without adding anything further to the text.
