[edit] April 2007
Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, the external links you added to the page Perfume do not comply with our guidelines for external links. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. RJASE1 Talk 02:34, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] ===============
I suggest everyone re-read the following link. The link noted does not violate any of the links that are not allowed.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:External_links —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 12.198.8.203 (talk • contribs).
- The two links in question clearly violate WP:EL/WP:SPAM. Please do not add them again. OhNoitsJamie Talk 05:06, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Perfume. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content which gains a consensus among editors. Thank you. [edit] Let's review
Various places you've expressed astonishment at anyone wanting to remove your links, added simply out of enthusiasm. True astonishment follows from the below:
- In the last 2.5 days the same links
- Choosing A Perfume
- Perfume FAQ - Perfume information from a Certified Fragrance Specialist
- have been added 12+ times, by the following:
- Dogfacefool (talk · contribs · logs · block user · block log)
- Those links have been removed by not one, not two, but all of these editors:
- User:Ohnoitsjamie,
- User:RJASE1,
- User:KyraVixen,
- User:Montco,
- User:Jensbn,
- User:Dgies, and
- User:140.247.240.170
- As background, in the entire month preceding, links for other valuable web sites such as
-
- www.yournewfragrance.com
- were added only about 6 times, and removed, and
- www.osmoz.com
- were added a less than five times, and removed.
-
So you would ask us to believe that out of a sudden mass enthusiasm the entire world has to have these links attached to the article, in just the last 2.5 days. Your astonishment is noted. Our's should be also. Shenme 08:34, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
