[edit] Sabres are not 2007 Conference Champions...yet

Conference Championships have been awarded only to teams that have won the conference final round of the playoffs since the 1981-82 season. So, Buffalo has yet to win the conference title for this season. Darthflyer 01:26, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Hog Wash/Survival

Wiki isn't a promotional site for film projects. That's what IMDB and myspace, blogs, and home pages are for. Your understanding of wiki is clouded by your own childish arrogance. Wiki is very supportive of the arts. But as a journalist project, it must apply journalist standards. Our job is to record the media's reaction about world events. Sadly, your film has not impacted culture or the media in a way that is notable as far as press is concerned. That's wiki's only concern.

As far as you being a producer of the film featured in the deleted article, there is clearly a conflict of interest in creating a neutral and objective article.

Please consider the following Wiki policy on conflict of interest-->

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Conflict_of_interest

The fact that you are the producer means you cannot be expected to be unbiased in the reporting of this film. That's like asking Michael Bay to review Tranformers. It's a farce at best. Wiki is not the only outlet on the internet. Nothing is stopping you from promoting your film elsewhere. Wiki's job is not to promote, but to record historic fact as it relates to the media. Blame them, not us, for not seizing upon your film. Or blame yourself for not making a better movie that left it's cultural impact. But blaming Wiki is simply crybaby nonsense. The problem isn't that Wiki is not supportive of independent film. The problem is that you are not supportive of Wiki.

[edit] RESPONSE to the above comment about "Hog Wash/Survival"

You sir are the arrogant, childish one. You couldn't even be bothered to leave your ID so that I could present you with a rebuttal directly... that's simply pathetic and cowardly.

Survival was not released until June 25th, 2007, and we are currently in the process of vigorously promoting it, so who are you to say that this movie won't leave a cultural impact? Ever heard of the underground film scene? Or are the only movies you care to watch on the level of "Transformers" or other big hollywood budget movies?

The whole point of the article on wikipedia for Survival was for people to be able to not only learn about the film, but see it's progression in the independent horror film circuit and to inform on the IMPACT it makes. But you people couldn't be bothered to give it the time it needed. If it's not a hit in the first week, apparently it's not worth of having an impact on society.

But guess what pal, in the real world when you don't have millions of dollars backing your product, you need to pay out of pocket to spread the word, and that's what we've been doing. You are a disgrace to this site and to the film community. This was never meant to be used as a promotional tool as you care to foolishly and carelessly claim, it was meant as a source of information, and in case you aren't quite sure on what the definition of an Encyclopedia is, let me refresh your memory:

en·cy·clo·pe·di·a (ěn-sī'klə-pē'dē-ə) Pronunciation Key n. A comprehensive reference work providing information containing articles on a wide range of subjects or on numerous aspects of a particular field, usually arranged alphabetically.

As I stated on the deletion discussion page of Survival, I am still new to this site. I came here with no knowledge of how it worked, and have been teaching myself the ropes for the past few months, so for you to say that I'm not supportive of Wiki... you are a fool, sir. A big fool. When you come to this site with no knowledge of how it works, it can be overwhelming and take a while to figure it out. If I didn't support this site, I wouldn't waste my time learning how to use it. But thanks for making that assumption, that really speaks for your intelligence, or lack there of. And you're right, Wiki isn't the only outlet, but when people are looking for information on a topic, specifically in film, the two most common sites are IMDB and Wikipedia. It was never about trying to get word out about our movie. It was about making the information as easily accessible as possible to the horror fans in this world.

You're clearly too ignorant to understand that. And clearly too impatient. Iateyourpetfish 23:33, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
