[edit] Final Warning (contested)

This is your last warning.
The next time you blank or remove material from a page, as you did to Rashid Khalidi, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Khukri (talk . contribs) 23:36, 8 September 2006 (UTC)

For the record, I would like to state that in my view this anonymous user was correct to remove the material in question. It was extemely biassed and amounted to a tendentious construction of a case against Rashid Khalidi, and the sourcing was poor. Removing this material was in line with Wikipedia policy in general and with WP:BLP in particular. If any administrator is asked to block this user for similar actions in future, I would ask them to look into the matter carefully, as these warnings are in my view incorrectly applied here and no vandalism was carried out. The large edit was done without any edit commentary which is usually indicative of vandalism. But I have no problems with being proved wrong. As a rule, on an established article, one must discuss with ones peers before removing 50 lines of article, contentious or not. But Palmiro has made an effort to state the case for you, so I am open to discussion. I am not an expert on the subject but please use the talk page, and explain your reasoning for removing such a large part of the article, and I will will removing the warnings. But, when one receives a warning whether they believe it to be incorrect ot not, it doesn't help your case if you ignore the warning and repeat the offence, as you were warned not just by myself but another editor. Don't hesitate to give me a shout if you want any help. Cheers Khukri (talk . contribs) 19:57, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
