11 is the third official album by the Smithereens. It was released on October 18, 1989 (see 1989 in music). The album cover is inspired by the movie poster for the original version of Ocean's Eleven.
The 11 title itself was inspired by the Christopher Guest (as "Nigel Tufnel") quote from the film This Is Spinal Tap, "This one goes to eleven."
