The 10th Airlift Squadron (10 AS) is part of the 62d Airlift Wing as McChord Air Force Base, Washington. It operates C-17 Globemaster III aircraft supporting the United States Air Force global reach mission world wide.

During World War II the 10th participated in airborne invasions of North Africa, Sicily, and Greece; support of partisans in the Balkans, and transportation in the Mediterranean Theater of Operations. The 10th took part in the Berlin Airlift from 1948-1949 and continued airlift operations in Europe until 1961. It conducted airlift in connection with aircraft delivery from 1969-1970 and performed the airlift portion of the European Distribution System from 1983-1990.
