[edit] Jazz FM Name?
Considering that Jazz FM still broadcasts via Sky Digital and DAB, I wonder if the title of the page should be changed from 102.2 Jazz FM to just simply Jazz FM and if the Jazz FM (defunct) subtitle be removed to just Jazz FM. Sonic 19:51, 1 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Separate Articles?
It's been brought to my attention by a fellow member of the Digital Spy website that after reading the article it should be split into two articles, one for the defunct 102.2 Jazz FM radio station (which no longer exists) and another article for the current jazzfm.com website and radio station (which is running). I'm in two minds over this. The article is not substantial enough to warrant a split according to the rule of thumb table on Wikipedia:Article size (the article at the time I write this is only 14.2kB) but the article contains two separate radio stations in effect. I personally welcome the idea but I would like to get the opinions of others before I embark on such a task. Sonic 19:44, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] My Proposal
- My suggestion on the two articles would be:
102.2 Jazz FM
|
Jazzfm.com

- Disagree. It's the same station, it just had a rename. Should have one article. No hang, on, I misunderstand. I think 102.2 Jazz FM and 102 Smooth FM should be merged. Certainly jazzfm.com should remain independent. Morwen - Talk 01:32, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
- The only problem with that is that once the DAB stations close, the Jazz FM (website) article will fail the Wikipedia Notability tests for websites. I would suggest merging everything into 102.2 Smooth FM, especially as the original ejazz website was launched alongside the changes towards the launch of Smooth FM.
[edit] Jazz FM on Sky Digital - 100.4 or 102.2?
I can't find anything suggesting whether the service carried on Sky Digital was 102.2 Jazz FM or 100.4 Jazz FM. I know Sky Digital carries 100.4 Smooth FM, but I don't know whether it carried the London or the North West version of Jazz FM. --tgheretford (talk) 17:32, 5 September 2006 (UTC) (formerly Sonic)
- Checked the forums on Digital Spy. A good number of forum members have confirmed that 102.2 Jazz FM was broadcast on Sky Digital. --tgheretford (talk) 18:38, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

Image:Jazzfm old1.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion.
