The 101 Squadron of the Israeli Air Force, also known as The First Fighter Squadron, is Israel's first fighter squadron, created May 20, 1948 at Aqir Airbase (also known as Ekron, currently as Tel Nof). Four Avia S-199s flew the squadron's first mission on May 29. It currently operates F-16C/D fighters out of Hatzor Airbase.
