Turkish 1000 Lira banknote. This type was issued in the early 1950s and circulated until the mid 1970s. It was the highest denomination issued in its time and was worth more than US$110 until inflation began to ravage the Turkish currency.

Uncirculated (fresh and unused) examples of this note trade on the collector's market for US$500 to US$800.
