The 5 furlong post of Epsom Downs Racecourse where the English Derby is run. It indicates 5 furlongs from the finishing line. The riders pass this post about half a furlong before Tattenham Corner. (grid reference TQ224581)

The post is only erected during race meetings. But the Coal and Wine Tax Post on the right of the picture has remained firmly rooted to the spot since 1861 - its roots are showing rather more than they should.
