Talk:-cracy

I began to think isn't this article a kind of duplication of the form of government article? -- Taku 09:50, Feb 23, 2004 (UTC)

I think it would be a good idea to give the definitions of each item in this list, as in the -archy article. clarkefreak 21:53, 22 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Done a few now (remember the difference between democracy and partitocracy), and given examples ... --Lord Snoeckx 14:33, 2 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Hierocracy/theocracy

I don't really see the distinction between the two. Hierocracy even redirects to theocracy. Kranak 21:27, 2 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Running list of things to change

First, the mobocracy link needs to be fixed. Currently it goes to a failed band.

[edit] Proletocracy???

I've heard this term being discussed sparsely, but given the popular confusion surrounding the word "dictatorship" in "dictatorship of the proletariat" (the wiki says "The term does not refer to a concentration of power by a dictator, but to a situation where the proletariat (working class) would hold power and replace the current political system"), and given the neologism surrounding newer "-cracies" like corporatocracy and particracy / partocracy, I'd like to propose adding this word.
