Talk:…And Oceans
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
What do you mean they don't fit the "notability guidelines"? I thought wikipedia's policy was that if an article passes judgment, it has already passed the notablity requirement. How could this band be any less notable since then than now? They may not be legendary, but theirs enough cited information to warrent having an article on them for anyone who would have liked to look them up. It's the same thing with the article for Grinded Nig (an unrelated but relavent comparison). These arn't people who's pages were added to create publicity for themslves, because in certain circles, they are known well enough that the warrent a wikipedia article. I don't think it would strain wikipedia's bandwidth by that much to allow a few slightly notable bands to keep their articles. 69.250.142.218 22:32, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
- Wikipedia's notability guidelines for bands can be found at: Wikipedia:Notability (music).
- Taking a look at this article, I think it's OK. One of the criteria is "Has released two or more albums on a major label or one of the more important indie labels", which ...And Oceans meet via A.M.G.O.D. and Cypher on Century Media Records. --Stormie (talk) 05:58, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
