Žirovnice

Žirovnice (IPA[ˈʒɪrovɲɪtsɛ], German: Serownitz) is a town in the Vysočina Region, Czech Republic. It is located at around 49°15′0″N, 15°11′60″ECoordinates: 49°15′0″N, 15°11′60″E.

City of Žirovnice is situated in the south of Czech Republic. Through city traverse little river-Žirovnička. There are many historical building. For example Castle of Žirovnice, St.Filip's and St. Jakub's church, etc. Žirovnice has around 2700 inhabitant. There is various curtural life. Every year inhabitants and people from all neighbourhood celebrating carnival of Žirovnice's unicor (unicorn is symbol of the city). It is big event. Žirovnice is celebrated by production of buttons especially pearl buttons.

The town is twinned with Grosshöchstetten in Switzerland.
