Želimir Terkeš (born January 8, 1981 in Čapljina, Bosnia-Herzegovina) is a Bosnian football striker currently playing for NK Zadar in Prva HNL of Croatia. He previously played for NK Zagreb, HNK Čapljina, HŠK Zrinjski Mostar and NK Inter Zaprešić before he moved to NK Zadar.
Želimir Terkeš is easily one of the best, if not the best, striker in Prva HNL at this moment, averaging almost a goal a game. He is currently top scorer in the league by a huge margin, ahead of promising Croatian internationals such as Nikola Kalinić, Boško Balaban, Mario Mandžukić, etc. despite playing in an average team where chances don't come too often.
Along with 21 goals to his name so far in the season, he has also accumulated 7 assists. For six games straight (fixture 24-29 in Prva HNL for NK Zadar), he has scored ten goals and created 3 assists. He currently has huge chances to debut for his home country, Bosnia and Herzegovina, due to his outstanding performance and consistence and would be, without a doubt, a huge help if he indeed does make his first debut for his nation.
