Ştefan Adrian Mardare (born December 3, 1987 in Bacău) is a Romanian professional football (soccer) player. He is a central defender currently playing for F.C. Vaslui, and is part of the Romanian U21 team.

He was a part from FCM Bacău youth academy, and he made his debut against Rapid Bucureşti at only 18 years old. After Bacau were relegated, he transferred to F.C. Vaslui, where he became a first team regular, and it considered to be one of Romania's top prospects.[citation needed]

In the summer of 2007, both Rapid Bucureşti and Steaua Bucharest had offers of around £700,000 turned down for Mardare, who has since been linked with a move to either Everton or Newcastle United.[1]
