Śląsk Wrocław is a Polish handball club based in Wrocław, Poland.

Śląsk Wrocław handball section was created in 1947. It was advancing and advancing into better leagues and in 1958 first Polish Championship came. In years 1972-1978 it was the best times for Slask Wroclaw. It won 7 Polish Championship and there were playing players like Jerzy Klempel, Daniel Waszkiewicz, Zdzisław Antczak, Zbigniew Tłuczyński, Andrzej Sokołowski, Bogdan Kowalczyk. And in 1978 Slask played in final of Champions League! But it lost with German club SC Magdeburg. Slask won last Polish Championship in 1997, with Jerzy Klempel as a coach. From now it's just worse, actually club is on the last position in Polish First League.
