Ōnusa (大麻?) or Haraegushi (祓串?) are wooden wands used in Shinto ritual. They are decorated with many shide (paper streamers). They are waved left and right in a purification ritual.

Ōnusa are not to be confused with hataki, which look somewhat similar.
