Ōkubo Tadasuke

In this Japanese name, the family name is Ōkubo.

Okubo Tadasuke (大久保忠佐?) (1537-November 9, 1613) was a Japanese daimyo of the Sengoku period through early Edo period. Being the younger brother to Senior Retainer Okubo Tadayo, it can be speculated that Tadasuke initially began to serve under Tokugawa Ieyasu at the time at which he came of age for vassalship, following in support to his respective lord throughout many variable conflicts. By the year of 1573, Tadasuke had taken up arms during the Battle of Mikatagahara, where he served with at least very moderate showing to his name; and by the year of 1575, Tadasuke had additionally fought within Nagashino against the forces of Takeda. By means more than likely through the reputation of his brother, and in at least minor part to the service that Tadasuke had shown to the Tokugawa, he was granted the Numazu Domain in 1601.
