Actually the literal meaning of Oke is "Kingly House" or "Royal House." Shirokuma1 09:26, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

Ō has two meanings, depending on context - it can mean either "king" or a male member of the Imperial Family (who doesn't have the higher title of shinnō), in which context it is translated as "Prince" Nik42 04:19, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Edit

The reason I removed the links is that there are no pages for the individual oke. Every link was either a redlink, or something completely different, e.g., kuni is a disambiguation page which doesn't even mention the kuni-no-miya. There's also no reason to create pages for each of the houses when it would duplicate this page. Nik42 04:19, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
