Đakovica Airfield (Serbian: Aerodrom Đakovica or Аеродром Ђаковица; Albanian: Aeroporti i Gjakovës) is an airfield near Đakovica in the western part of Kosovo.
Following the Kosovo War, the airfield has been expanded and modernised by the Kosovo Force (KFOR) and is used mainly for military and humanitarian flights. Since the airfield lies in the west of Kosovo, a sector under the command of Italian forces, the airport is operated and maintained by the Italian troops of the Kosovo Force.
The Kosovo Ministry of Transport and Communications plans to turn the airfield into a civilian airport and use it as an alternative to Priština International Airport in bad weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances. However, since the airport is operated by the Kosovo Force this is unlikely to happen until the control over the airfield is handed over to the local authorities.
