Øystein Kåre Djupedal (born May 5, 1960 in Oslo, Norway) is a Norwegian politician for the Socialist Left Party (SV) and a member of Storting for Sør-Trøndelag County where he has sat since the 1993 election. For two years from October 17, 2005 until October 18, 2007 he was the Minister of Education and Research. He is also former deputy chairman of SV.
