Óscar Miñambres Pascual (born January 1, 1981 in Madrid) is a former Spanish football right-sided fullback, who is currently retired. Miñambres has had a very unlucky football career; He has been toppled by injury, the most recent in a 2005 training session. Miñambres played in Real Madrid's youth academy, and graduated from the youth ranks in 2002. Miñambres made his Champions League debut in the 2001-2002 season, in a match against FC Porto, where he set up a goal for his team mate Santiago Solari. After years of battling with injuries and a loan at Espanyol in 2004-05, he became a free agent after Real Madrid did not renew his contract. On August 8th, 2007, Marca officially announced that Miñambres would play for the next three years in Segunda División's Hércules CF. The following day however, he rescinded his contract with the team because his knee is not fully recovered. [[1]]
