Étienne Bâtard

Étienne Bâtard, ( ? – c. 1760), was a Micmac warrior from Miramichi, New Brunswick, Canada.

Bâtard had a significant involvement in events surrounding the Anglo-Micmac war of 1749–53. written reference first comes from the Abbé, Pierre Maillard who notes that Bâtard had taken part in an unpleasant debate between a prominent merchant, Edward How, and a group of Micmacs. This was about 1740.
