From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In J.R.R. Tolkien's legendarium, Éomund was a man of the House of Eorl in Rohan, the husband of Théodwyn and the father of Éomer and Éowyn, who were of great importance during the War of the Ring. Éomund was the chief marshal of the Mark, and was in charge of the east marches.
Éomund was slain in 3002. Not long after that Théodwyn died of illness. Théoden raised his two children after her death.
