Emile Bertrand Mbamba (born 27 October 1982 in Yaoundé) is a Cameroonian football (soccer) Striker. He currently plays for Arema Malang.

He also played for Maccabi Petah Tikva, Vitesse Arnhem, Vitória Setúbal.

Mbamba is expected to bring a wealth of European experience during his time in Indonesia as he is one of a few players in the country that have ever played in the UEFA Champions League. Mbamba scored his first goal for Arema Malang on September 9, 2007. In fact, he even scored two goals in that match against another Liga Indonesia contestant Deltras Sidoarjo.

[edit] Maccabi 1-1 Juventus

On 8th December 2004 Mbamba and his team Maccabi Tel Aviv needed a win to advance to the UEFA Cup round, since their hopes of reaching the next round in UEFA Champions League were depleted. A win would make them attain the 3rd position in the group C and therefore they will be able to compete in the UEFA Cup. However this would not be easy as they have had to beat Juventus in their final game of the group matches. Juventus were unbeaten during their group campaign and in fact they're always winning without conceding a single goal.

Surprisingly, Maccabi managed to take the lead by a penalty goal from Baruch Dego, courtesy of Jonathan Zebina's late tackle on Mbamba inside the Juventus' penalty area. Alessandro Del Piero then equalized in the second half. Alhtough the match ended in 1-1 score which saw Maccabi's failure to advance to the UEFA cup, they were the first team in the group that can break Juventus' 100% winning record and thus made Juventus concede their first goal of the campaign. And Mbamba can be counted as a contributor as his moves were threatening the Juventus' defence line, and finally made Zebina tackle him which resulted in a penalty.
