Çağrı Haksöz, born 1977, in Ankara, Turkey, is a Turkish academician in the area of operations management. He is a faculty member at Sabancı University, Faculty of Management. He is also an honorary visiting fellow at Cass Business School, City University of London, UK.
He is a graduate of first science high school of Turkey, Ankara Fen Lisesi. Haksöz has studied industrial engineering at Bilkent University, Turkey and obtained his BSc in 1999. He continued his graduate study at Leonard N. Stern School of Business of New York University, New York. He obtained MPhil and PhD degrees in operations management in 2003 and 2004 respectively. He has worked as an assistant professor of operations management at Cass Business School, City University of London, UK between 2004-2008. He has also taught at Stern School of Business Langone MBA program and NYU-London.
Haksöz has published articles on supply chain risk management, intelligent demand forecasting, and scheduling in journals such as MIT Sloan Management Review, Operations Research, Journal of Operational Research, and IIE Transactions as well as The Wall Street Journal, The Financial Times. He is an experienced teacher in variety of subjects such as Decision Models, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Management Science at undergraduate, MSc, MBA,Executive MBA levels.
Besides academia, Haksöz is an enthusiastic Turkish folk musician having over 60 compositions. He founded and directed the New York-based duo Yaren Ensemble between 2000-2004. He is a masterful player of the Turkish Saz/Baglama family, Azeri Tar, Uzbek Dutar as well as Navajo and Java flutes.
