Æthelwærd
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Æthelwærd of Wessex was the youngest son of King Alfred the Great and Ealhswith. He was born about 880 and was outlived by his brother, Edward the Elder by almost two years. He had three sons, none of whom had any descendants and two of whom died relatively young, thus bringing an end to Æthelwærd's direct descent.
