Åsjordet is a station on Kolsåsbanen (line 6) on the Oslo T-bane system. It is between Ullernåsen and Bjørnsletta, 7.4 km from Stortinget. The station was opened June 15, 1942 when the line from Røabanen to Jar was completed.[1] Along with most of the line, Åsjordet has been closed for upgrades since July 1, 2006 and is service is temporarily provided by bus line 43.[2] Åsjordet will among other things, receive longer platforms which can accommodate trains with up to six cars like most of the subway system.[3]
The area around Åsjordet is mainly residential but with some offices and other commercial buildings are also in the area.[4]
