Åsen

Åsen is a former municipality in Nord-Trøndelag county, Norway. It was created as Åsen formannskapsdistrikt in 1837.
On 1 January 1962 Åsen was merged with Frol, Levanger and Skogn to form the enlarged Levanger municipality. Prior to the merger Åsen had a population of 1.939. Today, Åsen constitutes the southern part of the municipality, bordering Stjørdal.
