Åre Östersund Airport[1] (IATA: OSDICAO: ESNZ), before known as Östersund-Frösön Airport is located about 11 km West of Östersund, Sweden and 94 km east of Åre, Sweden. The airport opened 1958.

Åre Östersund airport is the 9th biggest airport in Sweden. The airport had about 390 000 passengers in 2005.

Airport Coaches (Stadsbussarna) departs from the airport to down town Östersund and it takes aprox 15 minuter. In the winter Åre Flygtransfer, departs in connection to every SAS and flyNordic flights, to and from Åre and costs 250 SEK.

  • There is a taxi stand at the airport. It take about 10 min to Östersund and costs about 265 SEK. Taxi to Åre costs about 1300 SEK.
