Árbær is a suburb in the Icelandic capital, Reykjavík. Based in eastern part of the city, the Árbær neighborhood is well known for its natural surroundings and pristine nature. The Valley of Elliðaár and the river flowing through are at the heart of Árbær. The area has approximately 13,000 inhabitants.
The local sports club is Fylkir, who play in the Icelandic Premier League and are two times Icelandic Cup winners.
