[edit] December 2007 revision

This article has been rewritten, with attention to the detail of Mendana's two voyages. The second voyage particularly, needed space, being a significant effort by Spain to extablish a colony in the South Pacific. Citations etc have been added--Nickm57 (talk) 04:24, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

hi just watched bbc program on the island of tuvulu and im now reading up on the area on the actual website of the islands seems to say on there that this explorer died in October of that year not november.....who is right? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.107.95.221 (talk) 04:27, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
