Ágrip

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ágrip is an Old Norse word meaning "synopsis". Two mediaeval historical works are referred to as Ágrip.

  • Ágrip af Nóregskonungasögum - A synoptic history of the kings of Norway
  • Ágrip af Danakonungasögum - A very short history of the kings of Denmark

The first of those is much better known and a reference to Ágrip without a further qualification is likely to be to it.
