Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada (Madrid, 1960) is a Spanish fashion designer. Her original bright-coloured designs are very popular, she uses motifs as moons, stars, suns or hearts in them. She designs furniture, carpets, crockery, lamps, pens, pencils, lipbalms, scents, sleeves, towels or bed linen as well as clothes for children, men and women.

Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada is independent, idealistic and creative. She was set in the fashion world in 1980, and has managed to stay away from international catwalks. She studied at l'Escola d'Art i Tècniques de la Moda de Barcelona. She started her career as a designer in 1981, when she put on her first fashion show in Local, Centro de Diseño and she was an icon of the Movida. Her designs represent humor, boldness, color and nature.

Ágatha cares a lot about nature. She has joined and supports the green party, and is aware that the future will depend on this generation's children.

She has signed with many companies such as Audi, Air Europa, DHL, Absolut and El Corte Ingles. Ágatha has stores worldwide in Milan, different parts of Spain, Paris and New York.

She currently lives in Madrid, where she has one of her main studios and lives with her partner, the journalist Pedro J. Ramírez. They have two children, a son Tristan, and a daughter, Cosima.
