The International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium ((ISC)2) is a non-profit organization headquartered in Palm Harbor, Florida. The most widely known certification offered by the organization is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification. [1] [2]
The organization is internationally recognised with over 45,000 information security professionals in more than 120 countries. The organization maintains what it calls a Common Body of Knowledge for information security for the following certifications:
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP )
- Information Systems Security Architecture Professional (ISSAP )
- Information Systems Security Management Professional (ISSMP )
- Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (ISSEP )
- Certification and Accreditation Professional (CAP CM)
- Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP )
Several of (ISC)²'s credentials meet the requirements of ANSI/ISO/IEC Standard 17024, a personnel certification accreditation program. [3]
