"(Evening) Time to Get Away" is a song from The Moody Blues 1967 album Days of Future Passed, a concept album with each song representing a part of the day. "(Evening) Time to Get Away" was written by the Moody Blues' bassist John Lodge, and is one of two song written by Lodge for Days of Future Passed, the other being "Peak Hour." The lyrics of the song are about ending the work day and returning home, which is evident from the title. Despite being about the evening, "(Evening) Time to Get Away" is featured on the track "The Afternoon," which also contains the song "Forever Afternoon" (better known as "Tuesday Afternoon").
