[edit] Fair use in $100,000 Dollar Mamal
I, Seth Whales, believe that the use of this non-free image in the article $100,000 Dollar Mamal is fair because:
- No free or public domain images have been located for this album.
- The image does not limit the copyright owners' rights to distribute the album in any way.
- This image is widely distributed in other venues, so its use on Wikipedia does not make it significantly more accessible or visible than it already is.
- The cover is being used for educational and informational purposes only, and its use is not believed to detract from the original album in any way, or deprive its copyright holders of any financial gain.
- The image is of lower resolution than the original cover. Copies made from it will be of inferior quality, and could not be used as artwork on illegal CD copies of the album.
Note that this does not claim fair use in articles other than $100,000 Dollar Mamal. If you wish to use this image in another article, please add a new fair use rationale below. because my old friend, timothy joseph evans, drew the beautiful drawing in question. it's of a humanoid with fish for feet, resting at the bottom of an ocean.
sorry, but the file that attempts to explain the long and painful history of hobart rock band sea scouts is so wrong as to be upsetting. almost every line features a mistake. if all concerned forces will allow, i will make a serious attempt at fixing this mockery of a report. at least one thing should be pointed out, when tim and zach started jamming the actual first sea scout songs they had at least one jam with paul, brother of tim and remembered as the drummer of mouth. tim liked the result but paul was not much interested at the time, and continued skateboarding in hobart. a drummer was found soon in monika fikerle, who was taught by tim, allegedly, how to play. these early months of s.s.'s approximately 7 years formed not only the final ingredient for the band but also a life path for monika and a technique of drums often misrepresented by blasae comments like "tribal", and other jumbled attempts at describing this particular approach to drums. another drummer who plays drums in a close fashion would have to be Jen Tait, who is often overlooked in these wikipedia pages. she was the drummer for mongoose, whose breath of life in the ashes of the original sea scouts was another take on the scoutian musical landscape. with any luck this has helped someone, presumably the author, 'seth' to feel a little more "informed, dude".
