[edit] db-repost on SilentHeroes

Do not replace that {{db}} tag on SilentHeroes. Per DRV it is not the same as the article that was originally deleted at Silent Heroes, and thats why when I closed the discussion on DRV I put it up on AfD. Please feel free to comment on that discussion if you wish to. I have removed the db tag. --Syrthiss 21:38, 13 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Deletion of mods

I see that you are going after SilentHeroes, FinnWars and other mods, in fact mods that doesn't contain any americans. Is this a racial issue? In any way, I think you better look over the term 'non-notable'. You sem to have your own interpretation of it. Zarkow 16:40, 14 May 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for telling me that. Sorry it took so long to get back to you, but I've been busy. And just forget about the whole profanity line. I was only kidding. But, just don't say the "F" word.

[edit] Stuyvesant High School

FYI, the second criterion for a featured article at WP:FA reads:

It is ... stable. ... In this respect: ...
(e) "stable" means that an article does not change significantly
from day to day and is not the subject of ongoing edit wars.

You and Orstenwald should settle your differences quickly if you expect the FAC nomination of this article to succeed. I recommend you speak to each other, either via your user talk pages or elsewhere, and either find common ground or step away and let cooler and less involved heads decide the matter. RossPatterson 01:00, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

Congratulations, the third time was a charm. Stuyvesant High School is now a featured article! RossPatterson 20:34, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for all the work you did on the Stuyvesant High School article. It became a Featured Article earlier this year, and today it is on the main page. RossPatterson 04:10, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image Tagging Image:013388280155F.JPG

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:013388280155F.JPG. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Vic Vipr 12:34, 5 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use debate regarding television screencaps

Currently, there is a debate on Talk:List of Lost episodes regarding whether or not use of a 1/30th stillframe visual excerpt next to a list of audiovisual works (such as List of Lost episodes or List of Stargate episodes) is in accordance with WP:Fair use, and has even resulted in the protection of the page.

If you have any opinions regarding fair use on the List of Lost episodes page, please feel free to express them as I believe these two pages are sister projects.

[edit] Edit War in UNSC

Hi. I just noticed the post on the Halo Wikiproject talk page and I've had experienecs with that sort of thing before on that page. The guy that's doing it wants the UNSC articles to be up there with the other sci-fi "soldier" articles in terms of their content, so he's kinda making stuff up... lists of troop divisions and naval sections, etc. Don't know what else can be done except to ask him not to do it... [edit] Point of Existence

As you may have noticed, the article Point of Existence is currently being considered for deletion for a second time. I believe you were the nominator of the article the first time, and confused it for a non-notable article that time around? I also believe you had since changed your mind and considered it a worth-while article. Regardless, I was wondering if you would consider heading to PoE's entry and give your opinion on the situation? I just say this because, as the nominator the first time, your perspective may help add a bit of weight to the argument, either before or against deletion. Plus you may be interested -- again I don't mean to pressure you in any way, I certainly understand if you choose to stay out of the debate. 128.122.253.229 17:52, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Userbox replacement proposal

Your userbox
:( This user thinks or feels he/she is hated by everyone else (or knows it).
has been proposed for substitution.

Reasons:
Hopelessly POV. Does not apply to this user in any way, shape, or form; utterly redundant.

Suggestions:

Should be replaced immediately by
SMILE! This user is well loved and not hated at all!

Proposed by:
someone who doesn't hate you!.

Supported by: Everyone at Esperanza!

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Gunbarrelcasino.gif

Thanks for uploading Image:Gunbarrelcasino.gif. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 05:33, 3 January 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. K1Bond007 05:33, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Tartarushalo.JPG

Thanks for uploading Image:Tartarushalo.JPG. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then you need to specify who owns the copyright, please. If you got it from a website, then a link to the website where it was taken from with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. Thanks for uploading Image:Halo2 multi 2 1094806396.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright.

If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL.

If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 02:52, 18 March 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —Remember the dot (talk) 02:52, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image tagging for Image:Trooperssingleplayermp2.jpg

If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
