Zwiesel is a small town in the Bavarian Forest, lying south of Bodenmais and to the northwest of Grafenau. It is part of the district of Regen, in Bavaria.
Glass making, brewing, and tourism are all important industries. In the nearby is the mountain Großer Arber, the highest in the Bavarian Forest.
