Zuarungu

Zuarungu is a town in the upper east region of Ghana. Zuarungu was formally the upper east regional capital. The people of Zuarungu are mostly Frafra people with a few tribes from cities and town nearby. Zuarungu has seen little development.

The Nkrumah government established a meat factory in Zuarungu, which was a core economic merit to the people. The factory is now closed down due to mismanagement and corruption.
