Zor Prime

Zor Prime

Zor Prime is a fictional character from the Robotech universe. He is also known as Seifriet Weiße in The Super Dimension Cavalry Southern Cross.

His actions played a major part in ending the Second Robotech War between the Army of the Southern Cross (ASC)and the Robotech Masters and inadvertently created the conditions for the Third Robotech War with the Invid.

The Robotech Masters created this clone of the original Zor, in order to ascertain the location of the Protoculture Matrix, as well as to regain the secrets of the Flower of Life that died with Zor. They hoped to restore the original Zor's consciousness and memories.

In an effort to rekindle his original memories, Zor Prime was placed in charge as a Bioroid commander and had several skirmishes with Dana Sterling and the 15th ATACs.

When Zor's memories failed to be restored, the Masters place the clone in a position to be found by the ASC, who at this point have not seen the faces of the Robotech Masters.

Dana believes that humans are being captured and being forced to fight as soldiers by the invaders. Zor Prime, suffering from total amnesia, is made a member of Dana's squad and becomes a Hovertank soldier.

During his time, Zor Prime is tormented by nightmares and visions as the original Zor's memories begin to resurface.

With the eventual return of his memories, Zor Prime becomes determined to thwart the Robotech Masters' plans to retrieve the Protoculture Matrix from the bowels of the wreck of the SDF-1.

His final act of self-sacrifice resulted in the destruction of the Robotech Masters' ship over the burial mound of the SDF-1.

While Zor Prime had intended to completely destroy the Protoculture Matrix, the explosion inadvertently caused the Flowers of Life to erupt and disperse across the Earth.

The eruption of the Flower of Life was sensed by the Invid Regis, who proceeded to invade the Earth, thereby starting the Third Robotech War.
