- Welcome on my part too, Mark! --IJzeren Jan 05:59, 12 August 2005 (UTC)
- Thank you! Which leads to my first question... do you folks see responses I make here, or do I have to go to your Talk page to respond? --Zompist 06:12, 12 August 2005 (UTC)
- Well, we do if we happen to be 'watching' this page. But when you put a message on someone's own talk page, they are always notified with the "you have a new message" box, so this is the best way.--Pharos 06:15, 12 August 2005 (UTC)

- Everybody has his own style in doing that. Since I put you on my watchlist, I see it when something has changed on the page (when a person writes something on somebody else's talk page, he will probably look there for an answer). Others will rather write something on the talk page of the person who left a message. Both are possible. The former possibility has my personal preference, because that way one keeps the threads in one part! :) --IJzeren Jan 06:17, 12 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Web history wikiproject
Hey Mark--you and I used to interact on sci.lang a decade ago. Neat that our paths have crossed again. Your web history project idea is a good one. Keep me in mind if you go anywhere with it! · rodii · 23:07, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
- Created at WikiProject Early Web History. Feel free to modify the project direction as you envision. Let's get to work! KWH 23:20, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
- Cool— thanks, Kwh, and I hope our interaction was positive, rodii. :) Zompist 04:00, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
- No way, you insufferable oaf. :) · rodii · 04:18, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Roca Inca
I noticed that you created the page Inca Roca. I was thinking that it might more properly be called "Roca Inca", since Roca was his name, and he was Roca Capac before he was Roca Inca. Is there a Wikipedian procedure for this type of change? I actually tried to find Roca on the Category:Inca emperors page, which is how I noticed that it was listed under "I". Bejnar 19:22, 12 March 2006 (UTC)
- "Inca Roca" is the name he's generally known under, in English and Spanish. Wikipedia prefers customary names, because that's what people are most likely to search for. You can rename a page; however, a better alternative might be to simply create a redirect page for "Roca Inca". Zompist 22:03, 12 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Inca Empire article
Hi, before answering you, let me ak you one thing... where are your manners??? If you are in a bad mood, maybe it would be a better idea for you to relax first and then write somebody any questions or comments you may have. Passing to the article, I'm sorry but I've seen some vandalism made in it, and I do apologize because I didn't read the whole information first before reverted it. Still, if you read that paragraph, you will see that there are some information inside that are not in the introductory paragraph. For example the organization of the Tahuantinsuyo, and the perception of the Inca Empire nowadays. So for me, it would be much better than you, instead of erasing the whole information, edit and insert the information needed in another paragraph. In fact, I do like this article, and of course I'm trying to improve it, bad news is I don't have anough time now to do it. Remember that the fact that you don't understand something, doesn't mean anyone else isn't going to understand too. Again, you can ask first (maybe to the person who wrote it) and I'm pretty sure he or she may will be more than welcome to help you. (By the way, I didn't understand your last quotation, what do you mean?) --Evelyn Zuñiga 22:50, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

- I did a little edit on your list because I have already addressed the "List of Washington state airports" merge.
