Zofingen is a city in the canton of Aargau in Switzerland, with a population of 10,092 (as of 2003). The municipality has an area of 11.07 km². It is the capital of the district of Zofingen. Zofingen is a walled city and home of an ancient monastic settlement. The largest employer is Siegfried Ltd, a manufacturer for the pharmaceutical industry.
The town was founded in 1201 by the counts of Frohburg.
