[edit] Discussion

For some reason, this small discussion was slapped into the main article. I'm including it here, where it belongs, so it can be dealt with and not clutter the article with people talking to each other. Rebochan 04:02, 25 May 2006 (UTC)

"Zlata did not compared herself to Anne Frank. This connection was made by journalists covering her story."

Actually, she says Anne Frank inspired her to write a diary even before the war. She was nervous about the comparison while she was still in Sarajevo; she's less so now.

Penguin has released a new edition of "Zlata's Diary," with a preface by Ms. Filipovic dated 2005 and giving an update on her life. Other than that, she has not written a new book, although she has done some translating and editing.

She now has a master's degree in Peace Studies.

She still lives in Dublin, but says she returns to Sarajevo for three months each summer.

[edit] Nationality

Is she a Bosniak, a Bosnian-Serb, or a Bosnian Croat??

I believe she is a human being.
