User talk:Zipperfly

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This blocked user (block log | autoblocks | unblock | contribs) asked to be unblocked, but an administrator or other user has reviewed and declined this request. Other administrators or users can also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy). This unblock request continues to be visible. Do not replace this message with another unblock request nor add another unblock request.

Request reason: "This user made constructive edits. No evidence of sockpuppeting because IP is dynamic. Block was most likely because of the power mongering of David Gerard who indiscriminately use programs to lock up entire wide ranges of IP addresses. This system is too bureaucratic. How long until my case is reviewed?"

Decline reason: "You were blocked for massive sockpuppetry and disrupting a request for adminship. Your accusations are unwarranted and misplaced. - CrazyRussian talk/email 04:28, 9 August 2006 (UTC)"

This template should be removed when the block has expired, or after 2 days in the case of blocks of 1 week or longer.

How do I get an article expanded by people who are knowledgable in a field, and how can I advertise that an article needs major expansion? Zipperfly 23:32, 24 April 2006 (UTC)

Yuo can add a stub tag to it. Let me look at the article and I'll add the appropriate tag for you. --Pilot|guy 23:34, 24 April 2006 (UTC)

I added a new tag to it, you can look at the complete list of the cleanup tags here.

The article is Queen's University, I've been doing some work on it, but I've reached a roadblock. Thanks so much! Zipperfly 23:35, 24 April 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for your work on the George Spotton article. I've been working on it to bring it into line with Wikipedia's Manual of Style and citation policy. Unfortunately, Wikipedia can't cite itself since that would be circular. I've marked each statement that requires citation in order for the article to comply with the verifiability policy. — Saxifrage 04:07, 27 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:FDRatQueens.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:FDRatQueens.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Jkelly 01:41, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image tagging for Image:ThomasLidell.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:ThomasLidell.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:
