[edit] Visions and Missions

Vision: "School of Distinction". Through organizational commitment, competence and compassion, we aspire to be a school of distinction…. a school renowned not only for excellence in the academic field but also within the non-academic areas. It is our dream to be recognized as an institution that is capable of not only fulfilling the educational needs, demands and expectations but also of occupying one of the leading positions in the educational landscape. This is our vision.

Mission: To prepare every pupil to better meet the challenges of the future by building the pupil's emotional, ethical, intellectual, physical and social capacity through organizational commitment, discipline and loyalty

School Creed:

RESPECT ONESELF To respect oneself means that I must behave with dignity, be honest with myself and recognize my strengths and weaknesses. If I respect myself then I must believe that I am not just another person but that I am unique, that I have a purpose in life and that I have a role to play in society. But to achieve this I must be serious and disciplined in whatever I do and I must believe that I can achieve success if I work hard.

RESPECT OTHERS To respect others is to see the worth in every person I interact with and to respect his/her dignity, feelings, opinions and aspirations. If I respect others then I must help them to be better persons and not be an obstacle to their aspirations. I can only do this if I help to create a school environment which will bring out the best in everyone.

RESPECT LEARNING To respect learning is to recognize that learning is a lifelong process which requires hard work and effort, but which is the only way to develop my potential to the fullest. If I respect learning then I must start this process in school and learn to lead a disciplined lifestyle to put in every effort to ensure that I learn everything that is taught in school, to make every activity a learning experience and to learn how to learn.

RESPECT ENVIRONMENT To respect the environment means that I recognize that it belongs to everyone. I must take care of it because it does not belong to me. My respect for others demands that I must not deprive them of the environment through my misuse.

RESPECT COUNTRY To respect the country means that I will try to be a responsible citizen and to follow all the laws of Singapore. I know that pupils who are Singapore citizens must sing the National Anthem and take the Pledge. Pupils will take the Pledge with the right fist placed over the heart. All foreign pupils must show their respect by standing at attention for the duration of the ceremony.

[edit] School Song

(Lyrics by Miss Cynthia Goh. Music by Mr Simon Ng.)

Some time, some where, someone decided
That Zhenghua Secondary would be created.
A stable, secure haven where people some together
To learn, to teach, to care.

Chorus
We are Zhenghua
Ambassadors of the school to Singapore and the world
Engaging and Creating,
Riding on the wind of change,
We will build our future.

Our roots are in Singapore
We know that the world is ours to explore
Our past, our history; our actions, our reality.
Our dreams will decide our course.

Chorus
We are Zhenghua
Ambassadors of the school to Singapore and the world
Engaging and Creating,
Riding on the wind of change,
We will build our future.

The responsibility is heavy
For we believe in accountability
But we know, with our passion, faith and tenacity
Our dreams will become a reality.

Chorus
We are Zhenghua.
Ambassadors of the school to Singapore and the world.
Engaging and Creating,
Riding on the wind of change,
We will build our future.

Engaging and Creating,
Riding on the wind of change,
We will build our future
